Manual uploads

Sometimes the content you want isn’t in any of your connected sources — a creator you don’t follow sent you a clip directly, a photographer delivered a shoot, or you have archive footage you own. Manual uploads handle these cases.

  1. Open the Swishy Shopify app.
  2. Go to Content → Import → Upload.
  3. Drop in the files. Supported formats:
    • Video: MP4, MOV, WebM
    • Image: JPG, PNG, WebP
  4. Swishy runs the same enrichment as automated imports — transcription, visual analysis, product matching — and the content lands in the review queue.

When you upload, Swishy asks for:

  • Creator handle or name — so the content can be attributed and, if needed, consent can be tracked.
  • Source — e.g. “brand-owned”, “paid shoot”, “creator delivery”.
  • Rights status — whether you already own rights (brand-owned, paid shoot) or still need to request consent (creator delivery).

Brand-owned content skips the consent flow — you already hold the rights.

  • Paste a public URL. Importing from public Instagram/TikTok/YouTube links is not supported via the manual flow. Use tracked hashtags or mentions for Instagram. For content on platforms Swishy doesn’t yet connect to, ask the creator to send you the file directly and upload it.
  • Bulk-import from a folder of un-tagged files. Swishy needs creator attribution per file so the consent and publishing flows work end-to-end.
  • Mark the creator as an ambassador if you have a signed ongoing agreement — their content auto-approves.
  • For brand-owned shoots, tag the uploads with the campaign name so the AI seller can surface the right content in seasonal contexts.
