What is UGC in Swishy
User-generated content (UGC) is any content about your brand created by someone outside your company: customers, creators, influencers. In Swishy, UGC includes Instagram posts, reels, stories, mentions, and written reviews.
Why UGC matters
Section titled “Why UGC matters”Shoppers trust other shoppers. UGC gives a product page something the product copy can’t: honest voices, real use-cases, and proof that the product lives up to its promise. Stores that surface UGC at the right moment typically see meaningful conversion lift on their PDPs.
Swishy makes UGC usable by doing four things your team would otherwise do manually:
- Collect it — from the places your customers actually post.
- Understand it — transcribing, tagging, and matching it to products.
- Make it safe to use — tracking creator consent and revocation.
- Put it to work — feeding it into the AI seller so it appears in the right conversations.
The lifecycle of a piece of UGC
Section titled “The lifecycle of a piece of UGC”| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Discovered | Swishy pulls the post, reel, or mention from a connected source. |
| Enriched | Transcribed, analyzed, embedded, classified. |
| Matched | Linked to one or more products in your catalog. |
| Reviewed | Your team approves or rejects the match. |
| Rights requested | Optional — Swishy helps you request consent from the creator. |
| Published | Content is eligible for the AI seller and storefront galleries. |
| Revoked | If consent is withdrawn, content is pulled from all surfaces. |
Each of those stages has its own doc — start with Reviewing and matching, then Publishing, then Consent.
